Looks like we're a pretty big drain on this community.

[She's wary as she writes it. Most of the people who'll see this, she hopes, are from the same Luceti she is. But there's no guarantee.]

So I'm organizing a hunting party.

Anyone who doesn't know how to hunt and wants to learn? Meet me at six in the morning by the stable.

Those of us who do know how to hunt will pair you up with a buddy. We'll leave at six-thirty sharp.

Hunting'll be Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Fishing'll be Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.

[If there's one thing she learned in Luceti -- learned from Katniss -- it's how important these skills are.]

If we're going to strain these folks' resources? Least we can do is try to help.

The weaker barrier and diminished powers concern me, though I don't doubt you're right.

I don't have powers. Always use my knives to take on anything that comes after me.

[He's not exactly looking forward to this. After all, Sokka has been hunting for food since he got here, and suddenly now some girl is wanting him to prove his skills as a hunter? He's been doing this stuff for years, thanks. But he knows she did have a point to this: the village needed more food, and Sokka's hunting on its own wasn't going to be sufficient. So he swallows his pride and meets up with Clove.

[Sokka is almost assuredly the later person to show, even if he is on time.]

Alright, shall we get this over with?

That's why I want packs. [Hunting parties, packs.

Same things.] Safety in numbers.

[Clove looks up when Sokka arrives.

She's dressed in her Tribute gear. Long pants, solid boots, a warm jacket, and a vest with several throwing knives in it. At her hip is a solid hunting knife.

This isn't, she has to remind herself, the Sokka she used to know. Luceti had that way about it. Shifting and changing, altering people who disappeared.

They're strangers, and she likes it that way.]

Sounds easy enough on the surface, but I'm guessing there's a lot more to it than just that.

Definitely. Because you have to know what they think is useful and interesting.

So how many people are you expecting to join you?

[ He is a bit interested but this sounds like it could possibly get cramped. ]

For hunting? Five, if you come.

A good size for a pack, especially if we split up.

Rest assured, I should have very little difficulty.

[After all, he's no stranger to having people beg for their life. It's happened many times before. It's never truly stopped bothering him, but it's what needs to be done and he's perfectly capable of pushing through his discomfort for what needs to be done.]

And something tells me their idea of 'useful and interesting' doesn't always match up to ours.

Good. I know it bothers some people, so I like to warn them.

I was encouraged to take up a hobby. Rather than just being a combatant.

[Sokka is dressed in his simple Water Tribe blues with a light forest green jacket thrown on top of it. Unlike Clove, Sokka has no prior knowledge that his previous self ever interacted with her, though unless Sokka has physically seen someone come to Luceti himself, he just assumes that there probably was a previous encounter at some point. Not that it made a difference; he wouldn't remember.]

Ladies first, [he says happily as he gestures onward but isn't too far behind her as they head out into the forest.] So I take it you've been here a while, hm? [He'll try to start out with a little small talk before getting down to business; after all, most of the creatures this close to the village wouldn't have that much meat on their bones.]
