[She's decided that saying it to the village at large is a better idea than writing it. This way, she can't change her mind a hundred times then put it off and either not do it or totally rush it.]

I... don't know the customs around here, so I'm just going to announce it.

For anyone hearing this who doesn't know me-- my name's Clove.

Um. In a little while. On the twenty-third of October, actually. Cato and I are getting married.

I don't know how weddings work here or where you're all from. I know things can be pretty different. Where we're from -- District Two of Panem -- the wedding itself is a pretty quiet thing. Little ceremony, short vows. That being said, we do need someone to officiate. I don't know who that would be, here. If someone could help with that... I'd appreciate it. A lot. I know someone mentioned it a little while ago. So, yeah. That'd really help.

After the ceremony, we have a meal. Where I'm from, it's a big thing, but it's casual. We'll have lots of food and anyone who wants to come is invited. If you know us, if you don't, whatever. Everyone is welcome. Come, eat, mingle. Really, it's as simple as that.

So. Yeah. Thank you for your time.

[She doesn't know if Clove will be open to it, but fashion is Bulla's number one interest and she still has residual friendship feelings.]

[And Clove, well. She remembers this girl from the strange goings on of that whole thing. Plus it might be more fun getting something nice to wear with someone's help.]

Yeah. Sure. That sounds... really good, actually.

[...She's just not used to having friends outside the altered reality.]

Great. When should I meet you?

[Shopping is always a good way to bond, in Bulla's opinion. And for such a special occasion, it's important to get a second opinion. Although at least here, since there's no currency, the store staff aren't out to get commissions.]

Um.

[Clove is so much worse at this "female bonding" thing than her alternate self was. But, then she wasn't raised with it.]

Tomorrow morning, maybe?

Sounds good. Do you want to meet at the shops, or somewhere on the way?

[Bulla, by contrast, is good with that kind of bonding, as well as bonding with grouchy fighters. Living with her father has prepared her well.]

I'll meet you by the fountain. That sound okay?

Sounds fine to me. I'll see you tomorrow morning then, Clove.

[And sure enough, Bulla is there waiting by the fountain. It's easy to get to places on time when you can fly there.]

[After finishing up some of the other conversations she's having and getting ready to actually go out, Clove makes her way to the fountain. It doesn't really take long, but it takes longer than maybe it should have.

When she sees the girl, she raises a hand in a bit of a wave.]

[Bulla greets Clove with a cheerful smile.]

Hey! So, once again, congrats. And it's nice to finally meet you...um, outside of that other reality, anyway. I've spoken to Cato before and he mentioned you.

He's mentioned you before too. [Clove manages a faint smile. Not much, more careful than anything else, but there.] Good to meet you.

Are white wedding dresses part of your world's traditions, or will any colour do as long as it looks good on you?

[It's worth inquiring about. They're a tradition on her world, and she knows they're a tradition in some other worlds, but that doesn't mean the same applies to all others.]

Any color. [Clove smiles a little.] Usually it's just... your best dress.

I figured I'd get something new since... It doesn't cost anything here.

All right...let's get something extra pretty, then. Leave it to me.

[She'll be on the lookout for the fanciest things she can find hat will suit Clove's colouring.]

Not red. [She wore red to the dance, she remembers. White and red. But red is bloodshed, and she's seen enough of that. She doesn't like the color, not when she has her own mind.]

Anything else is fine, though.

[Red is Bulla's favourite colour, but it's not for everyone, even without knowing Clove's reasoning behind not wanting the colour.]

Hmm... Well, we'll have to see what's available, but I think light blue would look nice.

[Something that will flatter Clove's petite frame, too, although they'll just have to see what is in stock.]

I don't wear blue a lot. That might be nice.

[She doesn't know much about fashion. Her Capitol stylist and their team didn't really bother explaining things to her. Just told her what to wear.]

Are you going to have your ceremony outside or inside?

[That will impact what style Bulla helps to pick out. After all, if it's an outdoor ceremony, it might be a bit chilly outside by October 23rd. Long sleeves will definitely be a good idea, or at least a shawl. It's not good if the bride catches a chill on her big day.]

Probably inside, but the food's probably going to be outside. It usually is where I'm from -- so you have enough room for anyone who comes.

Okay...so we'll definitely need to make sure the dress is either long-sleeved or that you have a shawl or a shrug to wear with it, in case it's a little cold out.

[And nothing with a very low back, because it's harder to find things to cover that area.]

That sounds nice. [Clove can't help but smile a little.]

I'm not used to buying nice clothes. I never really had much need to it before.
