[It's an awful, awful feeling. Like there's something missing. Someone, actually.
She can't sleep. Because someone's supposed to be there.
Has he forgotten her? She can't really be upset or angry. She's forgotten him, after all.
But! The Journal. That's the way to go!
It's pretty straight-forward, after all, and she gets it working finally. Even has the video going.
She smiles.]
Um. Hi. My name's Clover.
Sorry. Not sure if I'm using this thing right. Hope so.
Anyway... Like... well... a lot of people. I can't remember much. Just got the little card to help me out. But...
It says I'm engaged. I'm supposed to get married.
But I... don't know who to. Which sounds really stupid, I know.
Anyway. I have this. [She holds up a chain around her neck, a single ring on the end of it. It's too big for her, definitely a man's ring. She figures it's got to be her engagement ring. Something about that -- having a man's -- seems right to her brain.] And... I think he gave it to me. So. Maybe this is a really stupid question, but I want to know.
Anyone recognize it?
I want to find him. Please? And thanks.

[ Because she has one of those
no she doesn't! ]video;
I know someone else was looking for a prince. I spoke to her awhile ago. But I... don't know if I know one. Or em engaged to one.
[Still, it's not a bad idea. It's worth asking.]
Is he engaged? And doesn't remember who to?
video;
Ummm. Maybe? He's sort of cursed into being a starfish right now, so I can't ask. But gallant princes normally have some sort of person they're going to get married to, right? A princess or something!!
video;
[She wasn't raised on any kind of fairy tales, so there's no culture to pull from for the old stories, for the sweeping romances and such.]
video;
[ Ikki doesn't seem too worried that this isn't apparently common knowledge. She's sort of been just adding information to her probable life based on the wild guesses of a seven year old, and considering that she's been adding them onto a card that told her the pet starfish was once a fish, she's got a really weird life story worked out. There is a lot of fairy tale nonsense involved. ]
Soooo maybe you're his princess! Or maybe you're from his kingdom! I'm pretty sure I live there, when I don't live here!

And that's first and foremost. It comes before everything else, even hunting. Tending to Peeta, playing the nursemaid however uncomfortable it makes her. She wouldn't forgive herself if anything worse happened.
But every now and then, she can't help but check. Wonder if anyone else has been afflicted by the same strange and sudden illness. Or if they know anything about it. That's the only reason she sees Clove's post. She's not sure why she feels compelled to respond. Still, she does.]
Your name is Clove.
video;
The card says Clover.
[She even holds it up to the Journal to show it.]
video;
Not unless...
Damn those Gamemakers. She's only thankful that this time, for whatever reason, she was spared. Who'd look after Peeta then?]
The card is wrong.
video;
I guess it could be.
[She smiles, sheepish.] I... only remember about three days bacck. So the card's all I've really got to go on. Well. And this.
[She holds the ring to the camera again.
Her district token. Snatched from Katniss the moment it was offered last Reaping Day. Hidden under her shirt in a blink. Concealed throughout the Games.
Now displayed.
And she's smiling.]
How do you know my name? Or... what my name isn't. Or... whatever..
video;
But right now, the reminder is unnerving. The way she easily, almost happily, shows off the ring to anyone watching this now. And the smile... She doesn't like it. It's too friendly, too much like the girl that once upon a time, a horrible shift made her friends with. A friend she could really use right now.]
We're... [Not friends. No. No longer tributes and no longer enemies. Not quite allies, either.] ...both from Panem. I knew you before you came here.
[You died trying to kill me.]

It helps him avoid chucking it into the lake.
So when he sees Clove - Clover - he stops and watches. His eyes focus on the ring for a few seconds before watching her again. She fits the description. She's looking for someone too.
Cato can't help telling himself that it's going to be another stupid dead end and he'll just end up giving up in the end (He's so close to giving up.) but he might as well try one more time. Right?]
Been like this for a few days?
[It'd help to know she hasn't been searching for longer than that. Cato can remember waking up with everything fuzzy a few days ago. The rest? A blur. With all the other people with the same time frame - he just wants to know.]
video
[She picks up the card and holds it up.]
Found this three days ago. And been... sort of looking since then. Or, at least, I know I've been looking that long.
[A pause.]
If it's true. I... guess it might not be. But. I mean. Why would I have the ring if it wasn't real, right?
You... got the whole "don't remember anything," too?
video
[He's hoping the card is bullshitting him on some parts. Like the whole 'dead' thing.
But he doesn't know what's true and what isn't.]
Mine is...well, it's stupid. Doesn't give me anything useful.
[He honestly debated showing it to her but the first one on his list is a bit of a horrible opening.
'Hi how are you. Don't remember anything? Me neither! All I know is I'm actually not alive.'
Yeah he didn't imagine that going over too well.]
video
[She laughs a little. There's no fear, no hesitation, no distrust. Why shouldn't she trust people here? Like them until they give her a reason not to?]
Sorry. I... This is kind of weird, you know? Don't know what to say or not say or anything like that.
But. Well. Same situation, I guess, right? Could be more awkward. Maybe.

[sigh]
It's like something wiped over my memories with a towel... Sorry I can't be any help. Find anyone who knows who it belongs to, or are they all mind-smashed, too?
video;;
[Something about that unsettles her, even upsets her, more than forgetting the man she's supposed to marry.]
Someone's going to help me try and find him, but no one seems to know the ring, no.
video;;
I had a feeling that could happen. No one seems to remember anything. It's like--this feeling that you have a lifetime of memories somewhere, but they're impossible to get to.
It's driving me nuts here.
video;;
Like they're... just a little out of reach but sometimes they just seem so, so close. But not really.

Clover, huh... did it tell you anything about the world you came from?
[Video]
I... don't know anything beyond that.
[Which she hates. She wants to know, at the very least, who she's looking for. Anything about him. Just so she won't miss him in her search. Lose him.
But it's all blank.]
I... I'm sorry.
